Sam Navarro

Minister to Military Families

Samuel Navarro was born and raised in Southern California, where he grew up alongside two brothers and a sister in a Christ-centered home. Raised by God-fearing parents, Sam’s foundation in faith was set early in life. He met his wife, Aby, at church—where they became friends at just eight years old. Interestingly, both became “PKs” (pastor’s kids) after their fathers graduated from seminary and began pastoring churches throughout Southern California. God brought Sam and Aby back into each other’s lives during their teenage years, and they were married on May 12, 2012.

Early in their marriage, both Sam and Aby worked with children—Aby as a preschool teacher and Sam as a director at an afterschool program. Just a year after getting married, they welcomed their first daughter, Annabella.

As their family continued to grow, Sam felt called in a new direction and joined the U.S. Air Force in the spring of 2016—a career path he had never imagined, but one clearly orchestrated by God. Their first assignment took them to Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri, where they were blessed with a son, Matthew. Later, they received orders to Washington, D.C., where their youngest daughter, Josephine, was born.

Today, Samuel continues to serve as an aircraft maintainer in the Air Force. He is also pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies and Theology through Liberty University. Sam and Aby share a deep passion for ministry—Aby teaches Sunday school, and Sam serves on the worship team. Together, they remain committed to serving God, their family, and their community wherever He leads them.
